Brian Archie
Brian Archie is the Community Manager for Programs and Fellowships with People Power Health. Brian has experience in healthcare as a front facing Cancer Peer Educator and in patient financial services. He has been deeply engaged in the community for the past 7 years, organizing with residents and institutional partners to decrease the effects of the social determinants of health by meeting residents where they are and providing tools that empower them to make direct changes in their lives and community. It is in this work, that he leads with the belief that we are only as healthy as our neighbors and by Reaching One we Teach Many! Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management(PM Focused), and resides with his family in Niagara Falls, NY.
Pedja Stojicic
Pedja Stojicic, MD, MPH, is passionate about enabling health leaders to use community organizing practices to advocate for equitable health and well-being. He currently serves as an executive lead for People Power Health. In the past, he was working with the CMS, Center for Public Health Leadership, Primary Care Progress, Way to Wellville, Healthcare Anchor Network, Center for Health Progress, and many others. Dr. Stojicic is an instructor for the DrPH Program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health teaching two courses - Enabling Teams and Enabling Large System Change.
Previously, Dr. Stojicic has served as president and executive director of Youth of JAZAS, a Serbian NGO fighting HIV/AIDS, and as a consultant for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia implementing health care financing reform. Dr. Stojicic completed a fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School studying Leadership and Organizing with Prof. Marshall Ganz and later worked as a member of Ganz’s HKS Teaching Team. As a life-long activist, he currently serves on the advisory board of Leading Change Network, one of the largest global networks of social movement leaders.
Samuel Gonzalez
Sam is passionate about the power of community organizing to bring equitable health and well-being at multiple scales. He is currently an independent consultant focused on health policy and health projects. He was previously a Senior Officer for Healthcare at the British Embassy in Mexico City and Chief Medical Informatics Officer at CHRISTUS Health Mexico where he helped to implement and evaluate distance-learning courses and training in digital health.
Sam is a physician and he received his MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical
Medicine. He currently resides in Mexico City.
Nevena Bacic
Nevena is currently taking an Administrative role, being a Business Administration and Management alumnus of the University of Trieste, she is currently working in a profession that is close to her academic knowledge. For many years she was a freelance copywriter, from which we delve into her creative side, along with her sense for business. Being bilingual, having lived in multiple countries, makes her a diverse person, interested in bringing together different cultures, as she has proved with her close work with youth organizations. Her interests have always been focused on human rights, sustainable development, health policies and inclusive policies, focusing on gender equality. She currently resides in Belgrade, Serbia.

Nina Burke
Nina is passionate about the power of community organizing to bring equitable health and well-being to life at multiple scales. She is currently an independent consultant with a focus on leadership in complexity and teams. She was previously a Senior Program Associate with ReThink Health where she helped to implement and evaluate distance-learning courses and training in community organizing for quality improvement professionals.
Nina has been trained in community organizing methods by former fellows of Marshall Ganz. She is also an advanced practitioner of the 6 conditions for effective teams. Nina is a member of the Leading Change Network Europe. Nina received her BS and MPH from Boston University. She currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
Stephanie Aines
Stephanie currently serves at Lown Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts as the Manager of Organizing and Network Development. In this position, she organizes and trains the Right Care Alliance councils and local chapters, and helps to start new groups. She also manages Right Care Action Week and supports and coaches regional leaders to host 75+ events across the country. She focuses on working with network members around recruiting new members into the Right Care Alliance. Stephanie received her Master of Education in Civic Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst.
Stephanie also served at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government as a Teaching Fellow where she facilitated weekly sections of a graduate-level community organizing class. In addition, she led partnership building by creating relationships with local campaigns to host student volunteers. Among the many other programs in which Stephanie has been involved include the University of Massachusetts’ Campus Compact AmeriCorps* VISTA where she recruited students and faculty to participate in volunteer leadership programs.
Jon Shaffer

Regional Organizer (Eastern Midwest)
Ph.D. candidate in sociology at Boston University. He builds and studies grassroots movements for health justice and human rights. Previously, he served as the executive director of GlobeMed, senior strategist for grassroots organizing at Partners In Health, founder of PIH Engage, and executive director of the Boston Network for International Development.
Sreejani Malakar
Sreejani is a Senior Campaigner at Haiyya and is currently leading the Health Over Stigma Campaign. She is responsible for mobilizing community members, building a strong network of stakeholders, and mapping strategies to achieve campaign goals. Sreejani has four years of experience in documentation and research in the areas of gender and sexuality. She has worked on Understanding genders and sexualities: Exploring expressions, roles, and identities with a focus on transmasculinity, sexual migration, early and child marriage, and female adolescent sexuality. She holds a postgraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Hyderabad and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Presidency College, Kolkata. She identifies as a feminist and a queer woman.
